Nigel Stanley, Incoming Thought CEO, wins Best Dissertation Prize

At the Royal Holloway annual Smart-Card Security Centre Exhibition, Nigel Stanley's Dissertation on a comparative study of Windows Mobile and Google's Android mobile operating systems won the best project award. During the day Nigel was asked the very simple and obvious question by eveyone, "which operating system is most secure ..."

The Answer, as always is that things aren't as simple, however, in the main, "both MS Windows and Google Android are just as secure as each other, the problem is how people use them".

The Dissertation, was one of many presented at the event by Security students as part of either their Masters or PhD Dissertations. Also, presenting at the exhibition were some of the sponsors of the Smart-Card Centre, including Orange who gave the keynote and sponserd the Dissertation as well.

A summary version of Nigel's Disseration will be available on this web site. Check back for more details soon.
